How can hypnotherapy help me to become a permanent non-smoker / Vaper?
Hypnotherapy works by putting you in a relaxed state where your mind is more open to suggestion. I will help you to change your thought patterns by making positive suggestions e.g. “you are now a permanent non-smoker”.
We will look at triggers, habits, associations and discuss the benefits and motivations for quitting smoking and vaping.
During your hypnotherapy session we will use neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnosis techniques to reprogram your subconscious mind with new habits and behaviours.
We will also break down and remove all associations and triggers with smoking / Vaping and build motivation to make it easier to become and remain a permanent non-smoker / Vaper.

Tools & techniques to help you remain a non-smoker / vaper
During your hypnotherapy session you will be given tools and techniques to help you remain a permanent non-smoker / Vaper (stress and anxiety can be significant triggers to re-start smoking / vaping)
• You will receive your unique hypnotherapy recording from your session to help reinforce being a non-smoker / Vaper.
During the first few weeks it is important to listen to your recording regularly after your session.
• Two different techniques to reduce nicotine cravings.
• Breathing technique to help reduce stress and anxiety.
• Hypnotherapy anchor / trigger “I am calm & relaxed” to help you to feel calm and relaxed & in control.
• Video to help reduce cravings.
How can hypnotherapy help me stop smoking / Vaping?
We now know that through research just how bad smoking is for our health and yet for many, it is incredibly hard to stop.
The research for Vaping is still inconclusive but there are still many concerns about the potentially harmful effects of Vaping.
The benefits of giving up smoking / Vaping are better health, clearer skin, more money and increased energy. Smokers all know that smoking is not good for them and is killing them slowly. But, for some reason, it can feel hard to give up.
The reason for this is that habits are stored in our subconscious mind and therefore that is where the smoking habit is stored. As a smoker or Vaper your subconscious doesn’t know smoking or vaping is bad for you, in fact, it expects you to smoke.
Perhaps you crave a cigarette with a coffee or with alcohol, or perhaps when you are stressed or socialising. Maybe you smoke to alleviate boredom or to give you ‘time out’ of your working day. These associations are so strong that giving up the physical and mental dependant properties of smoking often takes more than willpower alone to accomplish.
A big part of quitting smoking / Vaping is letting go of the smoking / Vaping routine, triggers and associations you once had.
Changing your habits is key, for example, if you get out of bed in the morning and go downstairs, put the kettle on and then light your first cigarette or Vape you need to change the routine.
Hypnotherapy can help you to replace a bad habit / routine with a good habit e.g. Take a sip of water, or a breath of air.
If you are considering hypnotherapy to quit smoking, the first step is to make sure you are choosing to quit for yourself. Hypnotherapy is most effective when you really want to quit – if you are doing it because you think you ‘should’, or because a friend or family member is pushing you, you may not get the results you want. You have to want to give it up.
When you are coming for your session, to help it to be more successful, you should not have any cigarettes’ available. Come with the mind-set that you are going to be a permanent non-smoker.
